How much is freight?
Shipping rates vary depending on delivery zone, go to checkout for exact pricing.
What type of clay do you use?
Our clay is a white firing stoneware, made from extremely fine ball milled materials. It is pug-milled on site in Brightwater to remove air and compact the particles further - this means our wares can be produced in lighter weights without losing tensile strength.
Once fired, our clay has very low absorption and low thermal shock properties, making it safe for dishwashers, microwaves, and is robust in home & commercial kitchen settings.
Our production processes ensure that only minimal amounts of water are added to the original filtered clay, meaning our clay fires more consistently and reduces variation in sizing and other defects. Our glaze colours are also manufactured specifically for our specific clay, designed to avoid glaze defects such as crazing.
What is your returns policy?
If there is a manufacturing defect that appears soon after purchase then we will replace or refund as per the CGA. We do not offer change of mind returns.
Returns are individually considered on a case by case basis, please get in touch to discuss if this applies to your purchase.
Do you allow onsite pickup?
Absolutely, if the product is in stock then you can choose pickup instead of delivery.
Is there anything in the gallery that isn't on the website?
Yes there is! Everything on the website is available to purchase from our gallery onsite in Brightwater just outside Nelson, and we also have one-off pieces from Royce and other artists found only in the gallery. Come check it out!
Is Royce still involved with the pottery?
Royce will continue to make pottery and paint, and these iconic artworks will be available to purchase in the gallery. He is also keeping a mindful eye on Josh and Coral as we continue the legacy of his production wares.
Can I buy from overseas?
Yes, but please be aware that we pack our ceramics very securely and typically this means that freight costs to overseas destinations can be prohibitive.
